Florida CLE Requirements

Total CLE Requirements: Each attorney must complete a minimum of 30 hours of accredited continuing legal education every three (3) years, with at least five (5) credit hours in ethics, professionalism, substance abuse, or mental illness awareness.

New lawyers are assisted in the transition to the practice of law through the Basic Skills Course Requirement classes which are given in-person, electronically, and online.
CLE Deadline: At the end of each lawyer’s personal, three-year reporting period.
Reporting: Florida is a self-reporting jurisdiction.
Reporting Information: Each member of the Florida Bar is assigned a three-year reporting period, which can be found on the mailing label of The Florida Bar News.
