A seller offers a building to a buyer for $50,000 and gives the buyer a week in which to consider the proposal. Thereafter,

the seller meets with a friend, who is also interested in the building. Within the week the seller contracts to sell the building to the
friend, and the buyer learns of this fact from a tenant in the building to be sold. The buyer nevertheless sends a formal acceptance that
is received by the seller within the week. Is there a contract between the seller and the buyer?
(A) No, because the tenant is not an agent of the seller.
(B) No, because the offer was terminated when the buyer learned of the
seller’s contract with the friend.
(C) Yes, because the offer itself is a contract.
(D) Yes, because the power of acceptance was duly exercised
